Freshly burnt wood is a heartwarming smell for me. It takes me back to Christmases spent in the “lower level” of Papa and Nana’s home in Colorado, or times knowing that Dad was working on something special.

A finishing touch to a project, or a highlight for a personalization — adorning a wood based piece with permanent detail is one of my favorites, as it’s so individual to the artist and the wood.
