Chalk Dirty To Me

Chalk could arguably be one of my favorite mediums. And what kid growing up in the 80s and 90s didn’t LOVE a good chalkboard?

It’s cheap, quick, forgiving and honest. If you can’t read it as chalk, you could have a legibility issue. So sketching items out on a board, or playing a game of Pictionary, is a form I won’t soon be giving up.

Using a mix of paint + sanded grout, we have a full living room wall dedicated to just that. With special messages, doodles and friends artwork displayed, it’s one of my favorite features of our home.

In honor of my 4th and 5th grade elementary school teacher (shout out to all the IC kids) Mr. Miller, I do a full arm complete circle every now and again in your honor!
